This is one of three keyholders that were made by an Ethiopian refugee in the Ali-Addeh refugee camp in Djibouti during 2010. The objects are made of strips of food bags (7, 5 and 8 cm long) that remain empty after food-distribution.

Djibouti hosts approximately 23,000 refugees and 11,000 asylum-seekers. Almost half of them live in the Ali-Addeh refugee camp. Refugees are predominantly from Somalia, Ethiopia and Yemen. Of these, 68% are women and children.
